PURCELLVILLE, Va. - Bliss Janette Stanton Amspacher, 86, died in Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, Va., on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Graveside, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 in Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon.
Visitation will be held from 1p.m.- 2 p.m. prior to the service at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Amspacher was born in Dillon on June 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Dewey B. and Mary V. Stanton.
She was a homemaker and the widow of Reverend Merle S. Amspacher.
She attended churches with her children when she stayed with them which included Purcellville Baptist Church in Purcellville, Va, First Freewill Baptist in Florence and First Church of the Nazerene in Winnsboro.
She is survived by her son Edward D. (Karen) Malphrus of Timmonsville; her daughters, Violet A. Cook of Ridgeway, Sylvia A. (Douglas) Huyck of Purcellville, Va., and Linda Fisher of Tampa, Fla.; brothers Dick (Judy) Stanton of Marion, and James Troy (Pat) Stanton of Jacksonville, N.C.; sisters, Bobbie Jean (Laverne) Huggins of Floyd Dale; Edna Earl Willoughby of Nichols, and Rosemary Buffkin of Mullins; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Joseph Laverne Cook; brothers, Dewey B. Stanton Jr. and Douglas Edward Stanton and his wife Helen; sisters, Laura, Margaret, and Carolyn Stanton, and Barbara L. Uber and her husband Jack; brothers-in-law, Winston Buffkin and John Willoughby; and a grandson Kenneth W. Bullock Jr.
