WINNSBORO — The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation has elected five new members to its board of directors.
“As our foundation continues to grow, so are the requirements for new board members,” said Michael W. Quinn, foundation president. “We’re excited to have some new members who care about health care in our county. We’ve got some big plans for 2013, and we’re always on the lookout for new volunteers.”
Joining the Foundation board are: Elizabeth Martin, retired educator and community volunteer; Norma Branham, Fairfield County treasurer; Brenda Miller, retired CEO of the Employers Association of South Carolina Inc.; E.C. Harellson Jr., assistant vice president at First Citizens Bank; and Ronita Marshal, chemist at V. C. Summer Station.
They join other foundation board members: Virginia Lacy, vice president; Becky McSwain, secretary; Boe Harwell, treasurer; Phyllis Nichols Gutierrez, Eddie Nelson and Randy Kelley. Mike Williams, Fairfield hospital CEO, is an ex-officio member.
The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation was established in 2010 to support Fairfield Memorial Hospital, an accredited 25-bed critical hospital. Since 2011 the foundation has donated more than $30,000 to the hospital for equipment and renovations. Most recently, the foundation funded the renovations to the hospital’s mammography suite that will house the new digital mammography equipment.
