FAIRFIELD COUNTY — Fairfield County sheriff’s deputies believe there is a connection between recent four wheeler thefts off of Hungry Hollow Road. The thefts were reported within a half hour of each other on January 27. That time frame and the close proximity leads deputies to think the crimes may be related.

One of the four wheelers stolen was a green 250 Honda two wheel drive. The other is a green Polaris 500 ATV. The Polaris ATV has a rip in the front seat, a seat that otherwise is new. The vehicle is missing side pieces from its left side as well. The four wheeler was stolen from the victims’ front yard.

At this time the case remains under investigation but according to the incident reports, nothing is known about the perpetrator(s) of these crimes.

“We are looking at some leads and angles but we really are hoping the public can step forward with tips to help us in the case,” said Captain Brad Douglas with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department.

People with information about the missing four wheelers are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 635-4141.
