WINNSBORO — Richard Winn Academy proudly announces Alex Scott as a Student of the Week. Alex gives each and every assignment 100 percent. He has an intrinsic desire to learn. To Alex, education truly seems to be about learning — not just a letter on a report card. When presenting information to the class, his gregarious nature engages fellow students and encourages a positive learning experience for all.
Alex is driven and motivated to do something positive with his life. He recognizes his opportunity to make a significant contribution to the community in which he lives and he is working to do that in many ways. Furthermore, his humility is inspiring. He does not boast. He is humble and is always looking for ways to improve — as a student, as a player and as person.
Alex will be successful in life, not because he was once a student of the week-but because he is a student of life, taking in every lesson and becoming better and better. Alex, an 11th-grader, is the son of Karen Scott of Winnsboro and is the English student of Shannon Wilder.
