WINNSBORO — Muffy is 5-months-old, spayed and current on all her shots. She has been in the shelter for way too long and needs someone to give her a home of her own. She is a beautiful boxer mix. She loves to run and play so she would need a nice size yard to exercise and play in. Muffy is friendly and loves people but can be a bit rough without meaning to. Small children are not recommended.

For the next two weeks, the center will offer adoptions for only $35. Center director Janice Emerson hopes people will take advantage by coming by the cat cottage, or “cattage” and finding a suitable companion. There are kittens and cats available. For more information, call 815-0805.
In addition to people adopting animals, right now the center has a big need for canned dog, cat food and bags of Purina Puppy Chow. Contact Emerson for more information on how to donate food and other items that will be used to help shelter a pet until a forever home is found.
