Fairfield High School Head Football Coach Demetrius Davis
WINNSBORO — Fairfield County was represented well at this year’s High School Sports Report All-State Banquet. On Feb. 17, two players made the All-State Team for the S.C. High School League Division 1 AA.
Junior Quarterback DeAndre Belton made the 2012 SCHSL Division 1 AA All-State Team. In his first season as a starter on varsity, he led the Griffins to the state championship game. Also named to the 2012 SCHSL Division 1 AA All-State Team was star lineman Dexter Finch.
Raheem McDaniel, who will continue his playing days at the community college level next fall, was named the 2012 Class AA Division 1 Defensive Player of the Year.
FCHS head coach Demetrius Davis took home accolades as well, being named the 2012 Region 3-AA Coach of the Year.
