Garbage haulers, Cruise lines and other businesses have lowered or wavered their fuel surcharges as oil has plunged in the past year.

I would like to know when will the Town of Winnsboro start lowering their surcharges or explain to me why you can’t.

I have paid as much as $100 a month for surcharges on electricity and natural gas.

Do you realize we are in a recession?

There are people out of jobs in this county because of so many businesses closed.

Where are they going to get the money to pay their utility bills, the Government?

I would like to know how much money the Town of Winnsboro made off of cutoffs last year because customers could not pay their bill.

I also would like to know what do you do with this extra money.

Maybe this paper can find that information out for me, I had requested this once before and had no response from them.

I feel for these people who are out of work and those who are working and still finding it hard to make ends meet.

This letter also includes SCE&G and Fairfield Electric Co-op.

More to come,

William E. Kelly
