COLUMBIA — The road was unkind to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Richard Winn baseball team dropped a decision to Heathwood Hall Highlanders. After a 3-0 start including a dramatic Friday night win over Cardinal Newman, the Eagles were no match for the Highlander pitching.

The Eagles managed to scratch across just one run in the contest. They lost 11-1.

In Thursday night action, the Eagles had a rematch with Fairfield Central High School. Results were not available in time for this edition of The Herald Independent.
