WINNSBORO — Fairfield County will be on the airwaves of public television on March 19. ETV’s Making It Grow program visited the area a few months ago and taped a show that involved the Fairfield County Museum.
According to Pelham Lyles, the broadcast crew had fun in the county so she invited them to come again. The Fairfield County segment will run in the middle of the broadcast which begins at 7 p.m. The show also airs at 8 p.m. on the SC Channel.
This Emmy Award-winning Making It Grow! program is produced by ETV and Clemson University.
The live program features calls that are fielded by host Amanda McNulty from Clemson Extension along with Clemson Extension Resource Agent Terasa Young. Featured guests include Dr. John Nelson from the USC Herbarium.
Gardening topics and interesting local color stories are big parts of the program as are Amanda’s famous hats and eccentricities. Tune in to see some familiar faces and learn more about this county and to hear what callers might ask about this area.
