In the letter sent to residents, the Rescue Squad is quoted as saying: ‘Fairfield County Rescue Squad needs your help! We are in the process of acquiring rescue equipment to better serve the community. As the cost of equipment continues to rise, so does our need for your support. The equipment needed by the rescue squad will assist in providing the following types of rescue service:
1) Vehicle Extrication
2) Water Rescue
3) Land Search & Rescue
4) Water Recovery
In addition to the specialized rescue services we provide, Fairfield County Rescue Squad is a Certified Rescue Provider for Fairfield County.

‘In order to provide these services, our volunteers have devoted many hours of their personal time to rescue and medical training, and will continue to devote their time to obtain the many skills needed to provide life saving services.
