The Stephen Greene Baptist Church of Winnsboro, 500 7th Street, phone 635-3228, will again sponsor their annual Patriotic Celebration on Sunday June 28th at 6:00 p.m. Their music minister, Byron McCarty, is aggressively seeking singers to form the Winnsboro Community Choir (50 voices) for this patriotic extravaganza. Rehearsals begin Sunday, May 3rd from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the church’s choir loft. Call the church (635-3228) or Byron at 803- 408-0251 for the information packet/registration form now. The 30-minute musical is entitled The Spirit of America and features full color DVD and orchestral accompaniment on a 9’x12’ screen above the choir. A heart-warming salute to the personnel of our military services and a live color guard representing all branches of the Armed Forces will also be included.

The deadline to sign up to sing is Sunday May 17th. A nominal fee of $15.00 for the music and patriotic scarf/long tie will be made upon registration. A free listening/voice part learning CD will be provided to aid in preparing this musical.
