Lady Griffin, Nikki Craig has completed her final season and is moving up to the College level.

Nikki, #23 for the Griffin Basketball team, signed her letter of intent with Columbia College to play for the Fighting Koalas team next season.

Koala’s Head Basketball Coach, Stephen Burns is in his second season at Columbia College, was on hand for the signing and said, “recruiting is going well. We are excited to have Nikki play a big part of that.”

Griffin Coach, Calvin Davis said at the signing, “Nikki has been a great player. It has been a real blessing to have the opportunity to coach her, she does great things in her life, both on and off the court.”

When asked about her decision to go to Columbia College, Nikki said, “they make a real personal connection with you, and it’s nice to be close to home.”

Nikki stood proudly with her father, Frazier Craig of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and spoke of her excitement at starting her college playing years. “I have enjoyed playing for Fairfield Central, and now I am fulfilling a dream with Columbia College.”
