Dr. Ingram confirmed late this past Friday that she has resigned from the position as head of Fairfield County schools.
Ingram came into the district in 2008 with a vote of confidence from the entire Fairfield County School Board, who stated at the Back to School Rally at the beginning of the year that they were united behind the reforms that she wanted to effect.
That solidarity soon seemed to be eroding as Ingram increasingly came into conflict with the board’s educational and administrative philosophy.
While recovering from an injury this year, Dr. Ingram saw her administrative team dismantled piece by piece as the board chose not to renew the contracts this year of several of the key administrators in the District Office.
As of press time, Dr. Ingram had no comment on her resignation. More details will be published as they become available.
