On Monday morning, Terrance Charles Crumpton pled guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years for his involvement in the shooting death of 37-year-old John Crumblin of Jenkinsville.

On May 7, 2008, Crumpton and his older brother, Joshua Emanuel Crumpton, shot Crumblin while he was sitting outside of his home in Jenkinsville.

According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, the two brothers arrived at Crumblin’s residence on Family Road at approximately 9:15 p.m. that night. The brothers and the victim got into an argument over money. The amount is believed to be $20.

The two men then left the scene, but returned a few minutes later with a handgun, which was used to shoot the victim several times.

Crumblin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Joshua Crumpton’s case is still pending.
