A Great Falls man was killed over the weekend in a single-vehicle accident on S.C. 99.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, Danny Ray Caskey, 43, of 2030 Looper Road, Great Falls, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe on northbound S.C. 99 just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The vehicle left the road, overturning several times. Caskey was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Chester County coroner.

Caskey was not wearing a seat belt, the highway patrol said.

Speed was determined to be a factor in the accident, the highway patrol said. The posted speed limit for the area is 45 MPH.

A toxicology report is still pending in the case.
