Fairfield County has scheduled a half-day Strategic Planning Work Session for Thursday.

Fairfield County is in the process of developing a strategic plan for economic development. In March, the County selected Genesis Consulting Group to assist with the preparation of this plan.

“Since that time, Genesis has worked closely with a Steering Committee composed of local business and civic representatives to develop preliminary economic strategies,” said Fairfield County Council Chairman David Brown.

Community members have been asked to attend the upcoming work session to review and comment on the preliminary work of the Steering Committee and provide additional direction and insight that will help the County prepare and effective Strategic Plan.

The work session will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, and participants will take part in several group sessions to undertake a detailed review of the economic strategies preliminarily identified by the Steering Committee.

The findings will later be presented to the group as a summary of the discussions and conclusions.

The meeting will conclude with an outline of the schedule for the completion of future projects.
