WINNSBORO — Fairfield Central High School Lady Griffins basketball team has moved up in the polls to No. 2 behind Pelion High school.
The Lady Griffins are 6-0 for the season, taking two wins over the weekend. The Griffins secured a win on Friday over Chester with a score of 58-37 and Saturday 61-10 over Great Falls. This was the team’s second match up with both teams and they continued to dominate on the court.
Lead scorer for the Griffins over the weekend was Jada Martin with 42 combined points.
The Griffins will be participating in a few tournaments over the Christmas break, including hosting a tournament with the boys team Dec. 26 through Dec. 29 with 14 teams in attendance.
